  • Browse to Endnotes program files folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\EndNote XX\
  • Run the "Configure EndNote.exe" utility
  • Choose "Configure EndNote components", click Next
  • Choose "Cite While You Write add-in for Microsoft Office", click Next
  • Click Finish

The add-in will now be available next time you open Word.
