- Journals (with some exceptions, e.g. year books and theme issues)
- Newspapers
- Maps
- Literature more than a 100 years old
- Delicate or especially valuable material, e.g. hand writings and posters
- Literature from special collections, e.g. Örtengrenska samlingen and older forest literature
