But wait to manuallt format and edit the references until you have inserted all the references you want to add using EndNote. Then disable the link to EndNote as follows:
- Go to the EndNote tab in Word.
- In the Bibliography toolbar, change “Instant formatting is on” to “Turn instant formatting off”.
You can now make manual changes to the reference list, for example adding your own references or editing existing ones, without EndNote overwriting them. If you choose to turn Instant Formatting back on, EndNote will overwrite your changes.
