When you open your document on another computer than the one you have used before, sometimes the SLU tab and the macros disappear. If the file is saved as a docm file and the style sheet is installed on the new computer, the computer simply does not understand which style sheet is the origin of the file.

Follow these instructions to attach the file to the style sheet:

Word 2013 and 2010 (for Windows)

  1. If you cannot find the Developer tab on the Ribbon, click File > Settings > Customize the Ribbon. Check Developer under Primary tabs.
  2. Click the Document Template button on the Developer tab.
  3. Click the Attach button, find and select the template file.
  4. Click Open.

Word 2016 (for Mac OS)

  1. Click Tools in the menu row and choose Templates and Add-ins...
  2. Click the Attach button, find and select the template file.
  3. Click Open.
