The SLU University Library has license agreements with publishers to give students and researchers access to a large number of e-journals and e-books. The agreements define what you are allowed to do with the e-books.

 

E-journals

You are usually allowed to:

  • Download a limited number of articles to your own computer
  • Print a limited number of copies
  • Use articles for the purpose of research, teaching and private study
  • Share with SLU faculty, staff and students
  • Post links to specific content

You are usually not allowed to:

  • Make systematic or numerous printouts, copies or downloads
  • Use articles for commercial purposes
  • Re-publish, redistributing or alter content
  • Post content or articles to web sites, list serves etc.

 

E-books

You are usually allowed to:

  • Print a limited number of pages
  • Use as course books and in course packs
  • Download to computers, eReaders and tablets

You are usually not allowed to:

  • Print a whole book
